At our occupational therapy clinic in Miami, I often hear people tell me that they hurt and they are going to rest for a while and then they should be good to be back to running or getting back to the gym, or whatever they want to get back to doing. Most of the time, pain can really get in the way of sleep!
While they may need to rest, rest alone will not fix the problem. Most of the time people don’t know why they started to hurt in the first place. They did not fall or recall a time when they hurt themselves.
