Latest update from our client Coastal Pain Medicine about Stress-Related Back Pain: What You Should Know

Back pain develops because of several factors, like overexertion, sitting or standing too long at work, poor posture and sleeping position, poor diet and exercise, or repeated movements that wear down your back muscles.

However, according to experts at Coastal Pain Deerfield Beach pain treatment center, back pain may also be linked to mental health.

Does your back pain feel worse when you’re feeling anxious or worried? If that’s a yes, then you might be feeling the effects of stress-related back pain.

A survey among adults who suffer from back pain at least once a month shows that 29 percent believe that it is stress-related. At least 80 percent of adults will experience this condition at some point in their life while 15 to 20 percent of adults suffer from back pain yearly.
