It just so happens, year after year, that New Year’s resolutions come at a pretty inconvenient time of the year. Several weeks prior to the countdown most of us indulge in Thanksgiving feasts, participate in a pre-holiday shopping frenzy, devour Christmas cookies and do not say “no” to New Year’s Eve drinking!
What an unfortunate chain of events to start a whole new (better) life on the morning of the 1st of January!
There is, however, hope for all of us who decide to make New Year’s resolutions, because committing to them means that we realize the need to change and we appreciate that there is room for improvement in our lives. And those realizations alone are powerful! We are not oblivious to the fact that we need improvements in our lives and that awareness makes us work towards our goals!
