Most of us will complain, sooner or later, about back pain. The number of people suffering from it increases every year, thanks to our largely sedentary lifestyle. Back pain can be caused by sports-related injuries, accidents, or congenital conditions such as scoliosis. But most of the time, upper or lower back pain develops during the course of day-to-day life. Repetitive activities at work or home such as watching TV or playing on the computer, working in an office, or lifting and carrying objects may produce tension and muscle tightness that result in a backache.
