If you have symptoms of COVID-19 that have lasted longer than four weeks, then you may have post-acute COVID-10 syndrome. Right now, there is little research into the syndrome. Some physicians think it is due to a lack of antibody response that causes symptoms to linger or remerge within weeks of having COVID-19.
It is important to note that while post-acute COVID-19 has symptoms lasting longer than four weeks, chronic COVID-19 has symptoms lasting longer than 12 weeks. Both are seen at our Urgent care in West Palm Beach.
This article will discuss what you need to know if you think you have post-acute COVID-19 syndrome, including when to seek help and treatment options available.
