Kinesiology taping can be a great treatment solution for patients struggling with sports injuries. It is a rehabilitative technique that involves taping of injured body parts to facilitate the natural healing process that doesn’t influence the range of motion of the given joint/muscle1. 1. DON’T apply the tape on damp surface
Applying the tape right after a shower, when the skin is still slightly damp, will cause the tape to not stick firmly enough. Is it very important to apply the tape on clean skin but make sure to dry the taping area completely to stop the tape from coming off. Tip: you can rub the skin with a bit of alcohol to make the tape stick even more firmly. But also make sure it’s dry before putting the tape on!
