What is plantar fasciitis?

Plantar fasciitis is a very severe foot pain caused by an inflammation of a thick support band on the heel and bottom of the foot.  Plantar Fasciitis can be hard to treat and can severely limit a person’s activity. The symptoms are extremely painful and can cause difficulty with walking, standing and climbing stairs. Sometimes the symptoms are worse at night, making sleeping difficult. Work and sports can often be impossible. Additionally, when getting up in the morning and stepping out of bed, extreme pain may be experienced in the heel and sole of the foot when trying to take the first steps.

How can plantar fasciitis be treated?

latest update from our clients %Post TitleDr. MacLear & Dr. Gorfine at Palm Beach Spine & Diagnostic Institute, a practice which has been providing pain management in Palm Beach County for over 16 years, is announcing a NEW and highly effective medical treatment of Plantar Fasciitis that can get you back to your favorite activities quickly.  These interventional pain management doctors from West Palm Beach have perfected a technique of regenerative injection therapy that stimulates repair and healing of the inflamed plantar fascia. By utilizing the scientific knowledge recently learned in the research with stem cells, platelet rich plasma (PRP) and prolotherapy, this new treatment structurally strengthens the foot.  The treatment halts the inflammation, recruits your stem cells and tissue repair factors to your foot and strengthens the ligament support of the foot.  This takes the tension off the fascia band and resolves the pain.  Within weeks the symptoms disappear and you can resume your normal daily activities, return to work and again participate in your favorite sport activity.
